Ram 2500 stuck in 4th gear.

It acts like it's stuck in neutral all the time and all the lights work normally when selecting any of the gear selections. I have to keep the parking brake set so it doesn't roll into the woods or the neighbors house. The repair performed involved a thrust washer. The thrust washer came off, went through the gear case and was caught on the magnet on the bottom of the tranny case.
