It's interesting that I have similar experience with groups shooting the King Cobra,and Pythons with 6 inch barrel as well as 4 in barrels in Colt model 357,Trooper,S&W model 66,and Ruger Security six. I have shot 3/4 inch groups up to 2 1/2inch groups with all of the above including the Pythons.That's a shame because double-action wheel guns in this caliber have so much to offer. As an offshoot of Colt's old "D-Frame," the King Cobra is a small-framed gun with big-gun aspirations. If you have huge hands, you will find it to be small, but especially for the KC target it feels substantial without being overkill for smaller-handed people. The Python, conversely, is bigger than it has to be.

Plenty of Detective 2 inchers around but 3s were much harder to find. A 3 will keep its value, appreciate and be a bit more unusual. As for shooting better or concealing....not a clue. 3" will give you a longer sight radius. 3" better balance and sight radius with the potential for better velocity.Thr Python is accurate, dependable, easy to maintain and with a great trigger pull both single and DA. Maybe 1200 rounds of .38 thru it and maybe 100 of .357. My other revolvers are Smiths and even with trigger jobs they aren't comparable. Worth the $1,500 and the waiting.
