I've scoured the game and rechecked all the other places that had the stone and I've definitely got them.The best way to get back in is to shield-bash your horse so it's head is in the gate, the mount it, ride through, shield bash the horse into the second gate, ride through that, then climb the wall left of the door with your horse and that should get you into the courtyard. From there you can go anywhere in the embassy. Hope this helps.

How can I get the Stone of Barenziah from the Thalmor Embassy? They moved the stone to the cave where you leave at the end of the quest. You can just go to the cave and get it now. As frustrating as it is, i do recomend going to some of those cleared locations (or look at a video guide to see exactly where some stones are, and if you remember picking them up).
