NoddingMithrandir. • 3 yr. ago. Wasn't aware of D+77 until now, actually. From what I can tell, D+77 trades some authenticity for quality, with the primary source being the 4K blu-rays. It then replaced necessary shots. Still very, very accurate from what I hear! If you want a 100% accurate theatrical edition, go with 4K77 and 4K83.
As a big fan of Star Wars, I attempted to download the despecialized edition by following the newest instructions. I have my issue in Section 3 Step 4, where, even after I have java installed, the FreeRapid Downloader (frd.jar) will not open, with the message “Java Application Launch Failed.”
