I can't speak to all of them, but I do think they are a big perk/advantage. My D22 received the GAP for Nursing. I will say that she does not at this point have the 3.5 GPA requirement. Those 4.0's in high school are not so easy to come by now!! I guess every school grades a little differently, but in her HS, a B+ was a 3.33, at Pitt it is a 3.25. Back in 2019 it was not uncommon for high stat in-state kids to get between $10K-25K a year at Pitt. My S19 did. I haven't seen anything like is since. @TheVulcan kid had all the stats but did not get the Pitt merit, neither did the #2 and #3 kids in my S19's HS class.
