Duramax ticking noise.

I have a ticking sound in my Duramax that is getting louder and louder. It is reminiscent of a bad lifter and gets louder under load. 2020 Duramax thumping sound. Thumping sound heard at idle and increases with RPM as you drive. Can hear it easily when standing outside front or when listening near front wheel wells and from inside the truck. This is my 4th Duramax so I am familiar with all the ticking noise complaints but this is not a tick.

I had the oil pan (pacific performance engineering pan )because original pan drain plug is too high and all oil don't drain out. now the noise is gone, I'm thinking the oil pick tube up was hitting the bottom of pan.
