Max Lvl 72 or 80 Mostly Solo Maya. When playing coop, I respec into Res et al. When playing solo, this is my basic build equipping lvl 80 Legendary Cat most OP skills specializing in SMGs and or lvl 80 Lege Siren best rounded skills featuring SMGs & Pistols and or lvl 80 Lege Nurse best for fast health regen after heavy fights.

if you are indeed new to the game. i would suggest playing Maya or Axton first, leave Salvador for last. Reinforcing what Draekus said, if you are new to the game, don't bother with builds at all until you hit the endgame. Just use whatever guns/skills that strike your fancy, the game is pretty forgiving until lv50.

If you want to shoot the ground and kill everything, go with Gaige. If you want to destroy everything that stands in your way, go with Salvador. If you want to create hell, go with Kreig. I would probably go with a reflection build. The high survivability combined with damage output and maya's ability to slag everything with abandon seems well suited to solo play. Tho it does publicly need an answer for melee enemies...I have multiple Maya saves, and alternate frequently between builds. I use a Scorn build most, but go SS for speed runs. SS downsides are pretty badly overblown, most likely because people frequently pair it with a Legendary Binder. The extra Suspension boost makes it more painful when the orb gets weird.
