At one time I thought Kimber was the top of the food chain, I really did have pride of ownership with them!
Hammer and punch did nothing to move it. I had to use a sight pusher and when the rear sight broke free there was such a loud crack I was sure something had broken. nothing had and I was able to adjust the sight. The way Kimber's ambi safety works is the hammer pin sticks out a little further on the right side of the weapon, and there is a notch on the underside of the safety that latches onto it and keeps it tight to the frame. The Colt Series 80 firing pin block is activated by the trigger, not the grip safety as Kimber II's and S&W with there own version of the Swartz safety. Your Series 80 may not have been reassembled correctly.
